Reviewed August 1, 2013. We sailed from Helsinki to Stockholm on the Tallink-Silja line and enjoyed it. The boat sailed at 5 p.m. on a sunny afternoon, allowing for terrific views of the Tuomiokirkko and downtown Helsinki. Later, the sunset over water was lovely, and the morning arrival in Stockholm through the harbour islands was breathtaking.
The ferry to Stockholm can be booked easily via the Ferryscanner website. There are regular Viking Line and Silja Line ferry services from Långnäs and Mariehamn in the Åland Islands that take about six hours one way.
